Below Grade / Pressure Relief Walls

The costs of large below grade walls can often be dramatically reduced through the use of MSE pressure relief walls. Cost conscious geotechnical and structural engineers are finding that incorporating an MSE 6-12” off a below grade wall allows them to replace substantial cast-in-place concrete walls with more economic ones or even cinderblock walls. And the size of footings required for the building wall can also be reduced. The MSE structure carries all of the fill and superimposed loading so that the below grade building wall carries only axial superstructure loads. EarthTecs Wire Walls are ideally suited to pressure relief applications.
